APM-T Maasvlakte 2 – Rotterdam, The Netherlands
Together with the engineers from crane manufacturer Kalmar, Yourlight has designed a lighting plan for the most optimal lighting of APM-T’s fully automatic cranes on the 2nd Maasvlakte.
The superstructure of this hypermodern Super Quay Cranes (SQC) from Kalmar, took place in China, after which they were taken on the ship to Rotterdam and were dismantled and put into operation on the APM-T quay. The cranes are fully automatic, no crane operators are involved anymore. The containers are remotely by cameras loaded and unloaded. The camera system naturally needs good visibility in all weather conditions. To this, Yourlight has supplied an optimized lighting solution. The luminaires deliver a light level of over 200 lux on the quay from a height of 62 m. Both the most highly stacked containers, and those lying deepest in the hold, are excellently illuminated.
