Many industrial terrains are equipped with outdated conventional lighting fixtures, such as 250W/ 400W/1000W or even 2000W gas discharge light sources (SON / NAV / HPI / HQI / HPL / HQL). When these luminaires were installed, the requirements for lighting and safety were not as strict as today and no more or less kilowatts were not very important.

Wherever man and machine work together, good lighting is of great importance for safety. Scientific research has also shown that an adequate light level, a good even distribution of light over the terrain and a better light quality increase labor productivity and that fewer mistakes are made.

Dynamic terrain lighting

A big advantage of our LED lighting is that, unlike conventional lighting, they are immediately at full strength after switching. This is also the case if the terrain lighting, for example, only burns at 20%. At the moment that a motion sensor detects intruders at critical locations along the terrain, the lighting switches to 100% in a fraction of a second. This has a huge deterrent effect. All our luminaires can be supplied with drivers that are prepared for dynamic lighting (dali, pwm, 0-10V).

Insurers are often willing to adjust their premium if these types of security measures have been taken through the use of modern LED lighting.
